My laptop is damaged/lost. What should I do?

All employee shall be given a laptop/desktop to use for work. Hence every company asset allocated to you will be your responsibility as a user.

In the event of asset damage or lost, employees must submit their report immediately to IT Helpdesk via Asset Damage/Lost Reporting Form available in HR Portal. Report should be made not later than 24 hours from time of incident.

Damaged Asset

    The company shall check and repair/replace the damaged asset. Subject to the cost and cause of the damage, the company may impose penalty to the user due to negligence.

    Asset Loss/Theft

    For highly valued asset (i.e. laptop etc), an official police report must be made to support your report. Similarly to the damaged asset, a new replacement will be given. Any case due to negligence, the company may require the employee to replace a new one at own cost.

    Employees, as a user of company asset should be accountable and responsible for the condition of the asset provided. The asset must return the asset in the same condition as when the asset were given in the first place.
