Maternity Leave for Female Employees

Female employees are entitled to paid Maternity Leave for a maximum of 98 consecutive calendar days, which includes rest days and public holidays. This leave is granted for the first five (5) living children, as per the Employment Act 1955.

✅The employee must have worked at least one (1) day within the four (4) months before delivery.

Before applying for Maternity Leave, it is important for employees to inform their Supervisor and HR of their maternity plans at least three (3) months before the expected delivery date. This ensures that HR and the team can properly plan for the necessary adjustments to workload and tasks before your Maternity Leave begins.

✅The employee must have been employed with the company for at least twelve (12) months before the commencement of paternity leave.
✅The employee must notify the company of the pregnancy of his spouse at least thirty (30) days before the expected confinement date, or as early as possible after the birth.
