PUBLIC HOLIDAYS UPDATE!

It’s a Public Holiday again!

The Ministry of Human Resources has announced that Malaysians will observe two major public holidays on 16 September 2024, as both Malaysia Day and the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday fall on the same day. While Malaysia Day is a compulsory public holiday that cannot be substituted, the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday is considered an optional holiday.

As FAR Capital Group of Companies observes all public holidays, the Management has decided to grant a Holiday Replacement on 17 September 2024 (Tuesday) for the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday, in accordance with Section 60D(1) of the Employment Act 1955.

  • Holiday Replacement on 17 September 2024 (Tuesday): Employers may provide an alternative public holiday the following day, as outlined in Section 60D(1) of the Employment Act 1955.

Our office will be closed on these dates and will resume work the following day. Please ensure that our clients are aware of this closure.

To all our employees: Enjoy the extra-long weekend, be sure to wrap up any pending work and plan ahead so you can fully unwind during this well-deserved break!

Best regards,
Group HR
